Sotheby's Artist Quarterly is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new work by Sophie Hirsch.

In the exhibition you, non you, all you, Hirsch investigates how balance and ease exist within tension. Rather than attempting to control imbalances, these new site-specific sculptures of fabric, silicone, polycarbonate, Thera Bands and steel chains aim to embrace and integrate asymmetry. Every movement is understood as part of a chain reaction, and every shift becomes an essential part of the structure. In you, non you, all you, Hirsch underlines the necessity for flexibility and strength to coexist in the process of establishing and maintaining balance.
